On behalf of KCM Short-Term Summer Missions, thank you.
If you’re reading this, chances are you were among the many supporters (family members, church members, friends, pastors, etc) that partnered with us through prayer and other means to take part in God’s Kingdom-work. This past year God graciously provided our STSM program the opportunity to send out 93 students and 14 leaders to 7 different areas of the world to obey the Great Commission and proclaim His glory. As the director, I am amazed at God’s provision over this program every year, and this year was no different. We here at KCM would like to thank you for the love and care you’ve shown our program and thank our Father for providing for us such a great support system in our endeavors to please Him.
Every year, as part of the debriefing process, we ask our students to write a testimony about their trips. They are told to briefly describe: the reasons why they went on the trip, to reflect on key moments from the trip, and to make commitments for after the trip. The purpose of these testimonies is to tell the story of how God moved in the lives of our students as they put their faith in Him by going on STSM.
We have compiled these testimonies into an STSM 2018 Google doc for all to read in the link attached above. If you’ve been on STSM before, you know that a one-page reflection couldn’t possibly be enough to share about all the great things God is doing all around the world, but our hope is that as you read through these collection of testimonies that you may get a clearer picture of God’s heart for the lost.
In light of KCM’s vision to “care for collegians by discipling them to value the glory of God through global and local witness,” we also hope that these testimonies will lead you to worship and praise our glorious God. Although each testimony may be unique, they each serve the same purpose: to deepen our admiration of God’s greatness.
In Psalm 71:15-17, David writes:
“My mouth will tell of your righteous acts, of your deeds of salvation all the day, for their number is past my knowledge. With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come;Psalm 71:15-17 (English Standard Version)
I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone. O God, from my youth you have taught me, and I still proclaim your wondrous deeds.
This is the heart behind our testimonies. As the director, I hope that as you read these testimonies declaring of His wondrous deeds in the lives of our students and all around the world, that your faith may be challenged, that your heart may be encouraged, and that your desire for the Gospel to be proclaimed to all nations may grow.
