What is KCM?

What is KCM?
What is KCM?
KCM is an evangelical parachurch ministry that exists on eight college campuses in Southern California (UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCR, UCSB, USC, Biola, and Pepperdine).
What is the purpose of KCM?
KCM exists to glorify God by mobilizing and discipling collegians to the local and global mission of God.
What does that mean?

God’s glory is the foundation of KCM. Our desire is for collegians to behold, treasure, and uphold the glory of God above all things, and to never trade the glory of God for lesser things.

We seek to mobilize and disciple collegians to be obedient to the local mission of God by being missional on campus. Our hope is that those who do not know Jesus would come to know, love, and treasure Him.

Furthermore, we want to mobilize and disciple collegians to be obedient to the global mission of God by proclaiming the gospel to the ends of the earth.

How do we apply this vision practically?

We do this by regularly reminding our students of the importance of the local mission on campus. Our conviction is that the Great Commission is not on hold during college. Although studying is important, the call to be Jesus’ disciple and witness is the ultimate priority of every Christian.

The way we support our collegians is through weekly general meetings, fellowships, and various activities throughout the year. We also emphasize that KCM is not a church, but rather a parachurch that exists to support the local church. We hope that every collegian would become fully committed members of a local church.

In addition, KCM gives opportunities every summer for collegians to participate in the global mission through our Short Term Summer Missions (STSM) program. Through these mission trips, we seek to glorify God by proclaiming the gospel to the ends of the earth. We pray and hope that every collegian would become sacrificial goers and senders for Jesus Christ.

Please pray for us as we start the new year!
